How to Refer a Patient

Physician and self-referrals are welcome!

We are happy to obtain a referral for you if required by your insurance company. When a physician refers a patient to our advanced wound healing center feel assured that Dr. Buza will:

1. Conduct a thorough general exam and wound evaluation. Dr. Buza will develop a multidimensional plan to put the patient back on the healing path.
2. Dr. Buza will utilize his 17 years of experience to determine if advanced treatment such as Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy is right for the patient.
3. Coordinate care through specialized Home Health Care agencies when possible.
4. Coordinate with your insurance company to have wound dressings shipped to the patient’s home at little or no cost to them.
5. Schedule regular follow-up appointments to closely monitor patient progress and educate the patient on proper wound care management while at home.
6. Regularly communicate with the referring or primary care physician to coordinate the patients healthcare needs.
