Suggested Requirements for Diving Medical Examination

Initial examination and first examination over age 40

  1. Medical History
  2. Chest X-ray
  3. 12 lead EKG
  4. Pulmonary Function
  5. Audio-gram
  6. Visual acuity
  7. Complete blood count (CBC)
  8. Blood chemistry
  9. Urinalysis
  10. Any other tests deemed necessary by the physician to qualify for scuba diving.

Periodic re-examination every three years for ages under 40 and every two years for ages over 40

  1. Medical History
  2. Pulmonary function
  3. Audio-gram
  4. Visual acuity
  5. Complete blood count (CBC)
  6. Blood chemistry
  7. Urinalysis
  8. Any further tests deemed necessary by the physician to qualify for scuba diving.
